Air quality in a dental office is adversely affected by disinfectant sprays and sterilization chemicals used to keep instruments and work areas clean from debris. In addition, aerosolized teeth and filling material float in the air. If a practice has a closed ventilation system, it recirculates all of these substances.
Our office has an open-air exchange, Lifebreath units work to remove stale indoor air and replace it with fresh outdoor air, improve indoor air quality by helping to expel dust, allergens, chemical contaminants, odours and humidity from indoor environments.
A Clear Vision of Your Dental Health
You know the importance of prevention when it comes to your dental health, and we’re always looking for new, improved ways to help you achieve a healthy smile for lifetime. While X-rays provide valuable information to diagnose, they don’t give a complete view of everything that is going on inside your mouth. With the use of an intraoral camera, we can see every aspect of your teeth and mouth with incredible detail, uncovering cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear that may be present. When we can discover oral problems, your treatment is much less invasive and much more cost effective when it's treated earlier.
Our intraoral camera is small, about the size of the mirror we use during your regular hygiene appointments at our Office. You probably wouldn’t even notice we’re using it, except that with the intraoral camera, you have the opportunity to see everything we see on a monitor making things appear more clearly. This is a great tool to help you become more informed about your dental health, as it gives you a clear understanding of your teeth’s condition, and it allows you to make a more informed decision regarding your required treatment options.
Electronic Dental Records are an integrated part of our practice management system at our Office. Our paperless system delivers electronic charting, digital imaging and enhanced case presentation where it is needed most at chairside.
Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services for patients. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment that was completed.
We understand that our patients have busy lives and their time is of utmost importance. Thanks to the latest dental technological advances, such as the iTero intraoral digital scanner, it is possible for our patients to spend less time in our dental chairs and more time doing what they enjoy.
The iTero uses 3D technology to create sophisticated digital models that are actually far more accurate than traditional impressions.
These highly-detailed digital impressions provide our office with the opportunity to create perfect crowns and bridges, invisalign trays. It results in faster and more efficient treatments for our patients.
Digital photography provides our offices with instantaneous images to keep on file for tracking your progress or for cosmetic images.
As we are able to save digital images electronically, they are far more efficient than film-based images, which are less detailed and take longer to process.
For patients who may need to have teeth replaced, we take a dental 3D CT scan. 3D scans provide crisp, 3D 360 degree views of the teeth, jawbone, soft tissues and surrounding structures. They show minute details not available in any form of x-ray, and are an invaluable tool for planning dental implants and other advanced treatments.
